All polling stations in the Liverpool City Region will be open between 7am and 10pm.
If you are registered and entitled to vote you will receive a poll card before the election telling you where to vote, though you do not need this poll card to vote.
When you arrive at your polling station, you will be asked for your name and address by the staff. They will check that you are registered and hand you a ballot paper, along with other ballot papers for elections being held on 7th May.
You can vote by post instead of going to a polling station, providing you are on the electoral register. If you wish to vote by post in this election then your completed application must be received by your elections office by no later than 5pm on Wednesday, 22nd April 2020.
A proxy vote means that you appoint someone to vote on your behalf if you are unable to get to the polling station on election day, providing you are on the electoral register. Your completed application must be received by your elections office by no later than 5pm on Wednesday, 29th April 2020.
At this election, you can have two votes on the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Mayoral ballot paper, one for your first choice candidate and one, if you wish, for your second choice candidate.
You mark your choices with an ‘X’.
If you wish to make a first and second choice vote, make sure you place an ‘X’ in both columns. DO NOT place both ‘X’ in one column as neither vote will count.
